Kharkhorin, Mongolia

After visiting the museum at Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of Mongolia, and learning all about the various Khans and empires, we headed to the Erdene Zuu monastery. It was absolutely magnificent. Our guide Guntulkar, told us that Buddhists liked to create beautiful things to make our various senses happy. Well the monastery certainly achieved its goal!
