One great thing about this island is how narrow it is. We can stand on a balcony at our hotel and can see the sunrise and later, the sunset. Another thing is the wonderful bright colours of the buildings all around the town.

Beachside cafes and BBQs line the waterfront and all sorts of interesting people cruise by. Reggae music plays non-stop. Laughter of the best kind can be heard regularly.

I’d like to say the food is good, it certainly looks tasty, but I’ve had a case of “Bali belly” on and off for days.

We did meet a few characters at the Caye Breeze cafe over breakfast. One local guide looked and spoke like Dwayne from “Death in Paradise”.

Today, we walked to the northern end of the island and spent a couple of hours at the Sip’n Dip, just relaxing and watching the world go by.

There was still lots of seaweed along the shore. The locals collect it and use it for landfill and mulch for their gardens.

Looks interesting. I’m enjoying the pictures and info very much. Hope you’re feeling a lot better by now, Chris.

It was excellent, especially in the heat of the day, when we’re trying to find some shade…and there isn’t much, except at the bars under the palm trees!
