Corinthian Canal

Every now and then we see something, created by humans that just seems an incredible feat. The canal that cuts through the Isthmus of Corinth between the Gulf of Corinth and the Saronic Gulf is one such thing.

We were staying very close to the entrance, and we walked down three times to get a glimpse of the bridge disappearing under the water so that ships could pass through. We only managed to see it come up, which was just as amazing!

When we were leaving Corinth, right near the bus station was another view of the canal. I haven’t seen the Suez or Panama Canals, but I’m sure they are equally as impressive. Wow!
