Taste of Istanbul

Istanbul, Turkey

After a very long series of flights (Sydney-Melbourne-Kuala Lumpur-Dubai-Istanbul) we finally arrived Monday evening…which was actually 2am Tuesday Sydney time…so we had a quick walk around the cobbled streets, a couple of duty free gins and juice (no tonic in sight) and dropped into bed at our lovely little hotel overlooking the Sea of Marmara. Breakfast was an array of fantastic jams, cheeses, olives, vegetables and…sweets! Lionel and I wandered around for a couple of hours and were interviewed by two school girls doing a project on tourists…plenty to choose from! We had a plane to catch, so didn’t really have much time, but it’s going to be a fantastic place to end the trip and that’s something to look forward to…but not yet…many miles to travel first…
