Arusha, Tanzania

We were up at 4:30am this morning, and left Bagamayo at 6am, for a long, long drive to Arusha…gateway to the Serengeti. Plenty of time to sit quietly on the truck and contemplate the past 60 years of my life! What a time we have had! Twelve months ago, Lionel and I were wondering where we might travel to, and here we are in Africa! There have been so many highlights…Africa is such an amazing continent. It was lovely to be serenaded in English, Swiss, Korean and Swahili! Certainly a birthday to remember.
