As well as going to the prayer flag Pass, we also visited a weaving village. It was Sunday, so there wasn’t very much weaving going on, but the shop had a wonderful array of woven blankets, scarves and assorted other bits and pieces. The loom at the front of the shop looked very old. There was also a tablet weaving loom, similar to what I have at home.
Our next stop was a handicraft shop, which was almost an antique shop. Some very old and beautiful things in there as well.
We ended our day back in Chumkhar with a late lunch around 3pm! It was another wonderful day with our teacher friends, Tashi and Sonam.
Oh my goodness….my idea of shopping heaven! Those materials are beautiful! and the prayer wheels and the monkeys! Did you resist the he urge to buy?

Well mostly! I didn’t go overboard…the prayer wheels and woven fabrics were a bit out of my bargain hunter price range…still managed a couple of Knick knacks.
