There was so much to see and do in San Antonio. After walking around The Alamo, The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum, The Briscoe and the Riverwalk we decided we would get an all day bus pass for $2.75 each and explore further afield.

We started at San Jose Mission, which is considered the Queen of the Missions. It has been restored and is gorgeous.

After that we visited the zoo, which wasn’t too shabby as zoos go…the kangaroos and emu did look a bit bored…funny how you notice your native animals’ conditions!

My favourite venue was the McNay Art Museum, I took so many pics I’m going to do a separate entry for that too! San Antonio is the sort of place you could spend a week in and not run out of things to do…pity about the cold, windy weather!
