The Texans are very proud of their fight for independence, and the Alamo represents this magnificently. Me, I loved the movie, and even the remake wasn’t too bad…the moment when they draw a line in the sand and everyone is left to make their own decision is very powerful for me. So I was very excited to actually be there!

We also enjoyed the models at the Briscoe Western Art Museum, especially the scale model of the battle, and the sculpture of the line in the sand.
