Mopani, South Africa
Today we spent the morning at the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre for Wildlife, then the afternoon driving around a private game park for a few hours. Both were fabulous! The rehab centre talked about threats to wildlife, and the dwindling numbers of animals, their limited habitats and the threats from poachers. The private reserve had a fabulous array of animals, they were almost tame in their interactions with humans, but it was wonderful all the same…especially the pet cheetah whose claws got caught in my t-shirt…I didn’t even hesitate to hold his leg to extract the claws! Unbelievable! Most of our best photos today are on the camera, not the iPad…I will work out the way to transfer the lion, baby rhino, hippo out of water etc very soon! Oh and of course the vultures!
