Motoring on the river and getting wet at the falls

Hwange, Zimbabwe

Yesterday we spent our last day in Botswana, cruising on the Chobe River, looking for wildlife and enjoying the sunset. We saw lots of hippos…and not just their eyes peering out of the water. They were gorgeous! The elephants bathing and eating grasses were pretty impressive too! Today we crossed into Zimbabwe and spent the afternoon at Victoria Falls. The spray from the falls was amazing. It was like being caught in a summer shower; we were soaking wet…even with raincoats! You hear the falls long before you see them…the force of the water thundering over is spectacular! It was a very memorable afternoon.
