Zooming through Zambia

Petauke, Zambia

After leaving Victoria Falls, we drove over the bridge to Zambia and arrived in Livingstone (after a very slow immigration process). We met the rest of our group, which consists of eighteen travellers – two Californians, two Germans, one South Korean, one Nederlander, two Australians from Canberra, eight Swiss and us…no translator this time! We have driven about 800 kilometres over the past two days on our way to South Luangwa National Park. We are now in East Africa, which is more rustic than the south. Bush toilet is the norm ( call out “bushie-bushie” if you need to go!) We are in a warm comfortable room, watching European Cup soccer…I mean football…thinking about our campers in their tents…trying to stay warm…it’s cooling down during the night. Well it is Winter!
