After changing our plans, and not heading to Lamu, we found this little gem on booking.com! There are only about five other guests…well that’s all we have seen so far! The Indian Ocean is right on our doorstep…the tide changes are quite dramatic and the water is a beautiful turquoise, and so clear. We are playing mahjong, walking, swimming and trying not to eat too much! I’m really enjoying the ” mixed tea” which is just like Indian chai. A few locals have approached us on the beach, offering to organize village tours, sunset cruises, spear fishing, snorkelling, deep sea fishing, wood carvings for souvenirs and one hundred and one other activities. You can’t blame them for trying, but we are happy to be doing very little for a while!
