Malindi, Kenya
Today we drove further up the coast to the bustling town of Malindi. This is our last stop in Africa, and so I picked the aptly named “African House” to stay in. We haven’t seen any other guests yet, and have been lazing on the verandah of our room (the elephant house) and enjoying the lush surroundings. Lionel did go for a walk earlier, it’s half a kilometre to the beach, and it is similar to Watamu, with lots of beach boys eager to offer activities and lots of sea grass strewn along the beach…might just hang out at the dolphin spouting pool! We have just been watching a National Geographic program on 72 dangerous Australian creatures! No wonder tourists are nervous about venturing into our great outdoors!
